About us
Tomo’s was established 2008 by Karen and Glen Thompson, the original location was Miro Street and over the last 14 years we have enjoyed huge growth. At the beginning of 2020 we moved to 149 Spa Road providing us with the much-needed space to display our wide range of outdoor power equipment, parts and accessories.
At the end of 2021 Tomo’s was bought by Peter & Karen Scott and continues to go from strength to strength building on our great reputation for reliable products and outstanding customer service.

Being locally owned and operated our team will give you the personal experience, offer comprehensive product knowledge from years in the trade and ongoing training, we are specialists in outdoor power equipment including lawnmowers, chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, log splitters, chippers, wet weather gear and safety boots. We know our gear and are passionate about what we do. We pride ourselves on our great service and working with you to offer the best option possible for your situation whether it’s for commercial or domestic use.
Tomo’s stock a range of exceptionally high-quality brands, we are very proud to be the sole stockists of the Husqvarna and Walker ranges in the Taupo region. We also stock Masport, Victa and many more high-quality and reliable brands that have stood the test of time.
At Tomo’s we have a fully operating workshop with five highly qualified technicians. We offer full service and repairs on everything we sell as well as other brands. If your not sure if its more cost effective to repair or buy new our technicians offer a quick assessment to help you determine the best option.
